Biographical Sketch

Staff Sgt. Gabriel Colon serves on the Black Demonstration Team as a Demonstration Parachutist for the U.S. Army Parachute Team.

Colon enlisted in the Army in 2013. He attended basic training and advanced individual training to become an 11B, Infantryman, at Fort Benning, Ga.

His previous duty stations include Caserma Ederle, Italy and Fort Bragg, N.C. as a reconnaissance team leader until being assigned to the USAPT in 2021.

Colon has one deployment to Iraq. He has been awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Parachutist Badge, and Audie Murphy Award.

Since learning to skydive in 2020, Colon has logged more than 505 free-fall parachute jumps and 36 static line jumps.

In his free time, Gabriel enjoys dog training, fishing, hunting and spending time doing projects around his property with his family.
