Live Large. Be Bold. Have Faith. Fear Nothing.

Who Am I?

You might know me as the ridiculously responsive, user friendly IT guy. You might know me as Louie the Lens, Your Personal Paparazzi. You might know me as the education coordinator of my local BNI chapter, the Pasadena Profit Producers. I wear lots of hats, and I cover a lot of ground. We might even have met in a little coffee house on the Oregon coast (I was that stranger who asked if I could photograph you as you were sitting outside, smoking a cigarette and minding your own business!)

I provide managed IT services to businesses here in Southern California and throughout the country. I look like a one man band, but I've got a great team behind me that's ready to roll at the drop of a hat. I've got wiring guys, security specialists, and home theater. I've got amazing referral partners like business insurance providers, real estate agents, brokers, hypnotherapists, and coaches.

I'm also a photographer who can cover your company and personal events in a documentary style. Think "day in the life." I shoot a lot of military events. Weddings, once in a while. People at work. Rusty old junk in the middle of the desert. Check out my photos when you have a moment.

I shoot with Leica cameras, because they're small and unobtrusive. One of them shoots strictly black and white. Why? Because! I like to live intentionally, and heading out the door with a black and white camera forces me to work within its limitations and come up with something interesting.

I'm a husband and a dad and a BBQ enthusiast. My parents are really old and live in a retirement hotel. I have two dogs and two cats.

Oh, I also play a pretty mean harmonica (somebody send me a video link!).

Why this?

Many years ago, I was a long distance runner. During summer break from college, I used to hit the pavement with my friend Bernard. We had one loop in particular that he called "The Courage Run." It was about four miles long, and at the end, there was a monstrous hill that was both steep and long. I loved that hill, and how it made us feel courageous every single time. We had an eight mile version of The Courage Run that had TWO such hills. That one was also called The Courage Run. So when one of us would call the other and say "let's go on The Courage Run," we always had to answer, "which one."

These days, runs of any length or bravery level are a long distant memory. But we do go on a nightly walk with Zookie and Mazie.

In trying times, we all need a quiet place to speak our minds. A place where we can leave our troubles and conflicts, where we can express ourselves freely without judgment or cancellation. This is where I come to share my thoughts with you, my dear friends and family. My goal is to inspire you, to provoke thought, to help you grow personally and professionally, and to feel welcome. I hope you'll enjoy our time together on this marvelous journey.
