The Audience Reacts

A few weeks back, after workshop, Lennon told me she was going to be in a show called “Giggles and Jiggles” at the Wild Parrot in Pasadena. A bunch of Cool Beans University alum would be there, and of course I wanted to be there, too, because even though it’s so easy for me to come up with excuses to not go somewhere, it’s such a great feeling to show up for your fellow comics and watch them work the room. We all agreed afterwards that the acoustics were horrible, but the place was packed and everyone was having a wonderful time! Isn’t that what this is all about?

You may be wondering, where are all the comics? They’re not in these photos, for the most part. The backlight was horrible, and I was in a low key mood. The audience, however, enthralled me. Watching them watch the show. They may not even remember the jokes. But they’ll always remember the way you made them feel.
