QB Who?

I’ve known David from Premiere Valet for years. He was one of my first clients, and a long time Mac user. We somehow lost contact along the way, till I started reaching back out to everyone through a series of “nurturing emails” through Happy Grasshopper. To my surprise and delight, David contacted me, and Premiere signed up as one of my first managed services clients last summer. They are still using Filemaker for their databases, but now their work is hosted in the cloud.

Today, I met with Ryan and Mark from Premiere Valet. We got together at the Rustic Spoon and had a terrific lunch. See that look on Ryan’s face (top left)? He’s about to become a daddy, and although he realizes life is about to get busy, he has no idea just what he’s in for. His wife’s name is Delilah, by the way. Keep your head on a swivel, brother.

Mark has been with Premiere for twenty-four years and hasn’t aged two bits. He keeps the books in order with Lola, his grey and white mini Husky, always at his side. His mom and her husband owned a gun shop in Torrance, but now they are taking it slow in Reno. Mark discovered that it’s best to fly, rather than drive twelve hours through the desolate wastelands of California and Nevada to visit them. Me, I’m going to explore that route someday, because I am absolutely positive there are rusted hulls of cars, abandoned trailers, airplane fuselages, and gutted homes along the road. If you hang a right, off into the desert, I’ll bet there’s even an old silver mine.

What about David, you ask? He’s not pictured here, because he’s off on an adventure in Mexico at the moment. Given the opportunity, he’d invite you to drop in!

You may be wondering about the title of this post. See, I didn’t know what a QBR was until a few months ago. If, for some reason, you also don’t know, it’s a Quarterly Business Review. QBR’s allow us to catch up with our clients, grab a lunch, review where we’ve been, and map out where we’re going. It’s a critical component of good customer relations, along with our ongoing communications.

It can also be a photo op, and a chance to give a shout out to our awesome clients!
