At the Local Burgerim

When Don Reinders opened the Monrovia location of Burgerim in May 2020, not only were we in the middle of the COVID panic, the owner of Burgerim had vanished with millions of dollars in franchisee money. With the help of his daughter, who’d left a great job to come over to the restaurant, and his granddaughter, Don’s Burgerim location is hanging on. My buddy Dylan decided to host a networking event here, and with his permission, I hijacked it.
